AmrAbdElaziz (*1989)

Having lived all his life in Cairo AmrAbdElaziz ended his formal education with his graduation from high school and began his career in performing arts as an actor in 2005. Among other plays Amr performed in “Sahwetrabya” directed by LailaSoliman and choreographed by Karima Mansour during the Damascus Festival in 2008. It was during his acting experiences from 2005 to 2008 that Amr became interested in the art of mime. As it was very difficult to study mime in Egypt due to the lack of professionals in this field, Amr decided to study contemporary dance from 2008 to 2010 with different instructors since he felt that contemporary dance was closely related to the body language of a mime. Amr began his self-education as a mime in 2010 and in parallel participated in workshops for classical mime, modern mime, and mime choreography. Over the course of the past two years, Amr choreographed and performed five mime solo pieces “I am not Romeo” (in Sawy Culture Wheel), “The black balloon” (in the Cairo Opera House), “The white balloon” (in Rawabet), “Stop to think” (in Darb 1718), and “The giver tree” (in Sawy Culture wheel). In 2011 he acted in the mime play “Under construction” directed by Karina Olla in the Cairo Opera House. In 2012 Amr choreographed and performed eight interactive and improvisational mime solos in carriages of the Cairo metro. The young professional has also given mime workshops to children on a regular basis.

Née le 25 avril 1978 à Tokyo, Adachi-ku. Influencée par sa mère professeur de ballet moderne, elle s’initie la danse très jeune. Depuis cette époque, la danse prend une importance particulière dans sa vie. En 1990, visant une carrière de comédienne, elle entre dans la compagnie Tôhai. , Tout en se concentrant sur la scène, elle commence à travailler à travers des apparitions à la télévision ou dans des films. En 1994, pour approfondir sa connaissance du chant et de la danse, elle entre dans la compagnie de comédie musicale Something. Puis, en 1999, elle découvre le pantomime Arai Han, et entre dans la compagnie atelier Han Mime en 2001, où elle étudie le mime et le clown, et participe à des tournées et évènements au Japon et dans le monde. À cette époque, elle participe à plusieurs stages à l’étranger, et décide d’étudier quelques années à l’étranger. En 2004, grâce à son expérience, elle obtient de l’Agence pour les affaires culturelles une bourse pour étudier le cirque en France. Pendant 2 ans, elle étudie les bases du cirque aux Noctambules de Nanterre, et présente des solos de mimes et spectacles de clown lors d’évènements ou soirées cabaret. En 2007, invitée par une amie à participer à la création La Bestiole (Compagnie Son’Icône Danse), elle découvre les charmes de la fusion de plusieurs disciplines : théâtre d’objets, marionnettes, danse et mime. Elle décide de s’établir en France.

Tout en présentant ses propres créations, elle travaille avec diverses compagnies : Les Anthropologues (théâtre de rue), Tremplin21 (théâtre), Collectif Quatre Ailes (théâtre, cirque et vidéo), Théâtre sans toit (Marionette), Collectif Zone libre (danse contemporaine)... Elle étend encore ses compétences à des domaines en dehors de la scène comme le cinéma (Le prince et 108 Démons de Pascal Morelli, Holy Motor de Leos Carax, Camping red fishes de Gilles Serrand…) ou la télévision (Plus belle la vie). Pour développer ses capacités créatrice, elle suit les cours de l’école internationale de théâtre Jacques Lecoq de 2011 à 2013. Tout en poursuivant sa collaboration avec diverses compagnies, elle s'investit dans ses propres créations. Elle poursuit activement sa formation à travers des stages d'objet, marionette, danse, théâtre et mime, afin d'explorer de nouveaux horizons créatifs.

Peter Roberts, Scot by blood law and cultural heritage was born in 1952.
In 1975 he settled down in San Sebastian where ha began working as a teacher of English. He was greatly drawn to the theatre, but ran up against the logical handicap of language when it came to practising his art. This forced him to exaggerate his bodily expression in order to make himself understood.

He started his own company in 1979 with the idea of investigating the possibilities of non verval communication.
Over the years, his very extensive activity has allowed him to combine interpretation with training and teaching.

In 1983 he published his book, MIME, The Art of Silence, which continues to bear fruit as the use of mime grows in the field of teaching.
He has also been directing the Mime Studio for several years now and has given courses organized by: British Council, Ministry of Education, The Government of the Basque Autonomus Community, Universities and other public institutions for actors, teachers, students and alll those who share his love for mime and illusion.

He recently restarted his artistic activity after suffering a “lapsus” as a consequence of a traffic accident. During the long period of rehabilitation he devised the project “Getting Straight Through”.

Professionally I am a development activist & has been working promoting for Child Right since 2004. I am involving with Mime since 2000. Fifteen years of journey in the development field through cultural approach having the outstanding skill for working with children and adolescents from ethnic groups, orphan, rural and slum based community set up.My Area of Expertise are Children facilitation, Creative script writing, Mime performer, Choreography, Design & Direction of Mime based production for the Children & by the Children. About of 400 shows performed in different areas including corporate. I formed Mime for Children 2 February 2014.

Actor y mimo.

Junto a Petronio Cáceres, Enzo Gárate de Perú y Juan Bravo de Chile formamos la Red Latinoamericana de Mimos. Se convierte en una red que promueve el mimo a través de encuentros internacionales en Chile, Honduras, Perú Colombia y Ecuador. En nuestro país se realizó el Primer Encuentro Internacional de Mimo y Pantomima La Alegría del Silencio 2011 organizado por el grupo Trompos y Garabatos y con el apoyo de FEIM Ecuador con participación de siete países. El público pudo ver mimo con distintos estilos y tendencias.
