In 2016, Monique de Montremy was invited to the Maison des Auteurs de la SACD in Paris to listen and discover an intimate reading of "Laurenzaccio" in the small room of the Verrière. It was then only a draft of the future show by Mario Gonzalez and Philippe Pillavoine. At the end of the session, Monique de Montremy expressed her desire to publish the play once the first performances had passed. "Laurenzaccio" was premiered on 24 March 2017 in Allonnes (72) at the Théâtre de Chaoué Port Belle Eau. On May 02, 2018, Monique de Montremy kept her word because the full text of the show was published by Éditions Les Cygnes. "Laurenzaccio", the Book is prefaced by Francine Bridier (Director of Cultural Affairs of the City of Melun) as well as Sophie and Étienne Bonduelle (Owners of the Bains Douches de Périgueux). Two structures which allowed the show to see the light of day and which followed step by step since 2012 this theatrical project: to play a Tragedy in Clown.
"Laurenzaccio" is composed of excerpts from Lorenzaccio by Alfred de Musset and Une conspiration en 1537 by George Sand as well as writings by Mario Gonzalez and Philippe Pillavoine. The story tells the true story in 1536, in Florence, Italy the assassination of Alexander de Medici then Duke of the city by his cousin Lorenzino de Medici.
